A low-noise oil-free lubrication air compressor comprises a cylinder (1), a piston (2), a connecting rod (3), a crankshaft (4) and a crankcase (5). The piston (2) is disposed within the cylinder (1) and mates with the cylinder (1) in motion. One end of the cylinder (1) is securely mounted on the crankcase (5), and the other end is firmly connected with a valve seat (6a). A crankcase cover (12) is connected to the crankcase (5) and encloses together with the later to form a crankcase air inlet anechoic room (13). The crankcase air inlet anechoic room (13) comprises one or more expansion anechoic chambers and is associated with the working chamber of the compressor by an air inlet and an air inlet one-way valve provided on the piston or on the valve seat or on both. The air compressor utilizes the crankcase air inlet anechoic room (13) to effectively reduce air inlet noise.
