An alloy suitable for making inert anode used in a molten electrolytic bath to produce metals is disclosed, which relates to a carbon-free metal-based inert alloy anode for producing metals by electrolysis, especially for aluminum electrolysis in a molten bath. It is characterized in that, the alloy contains by mass Ni 5%-30%, Al 5%-20% and the balance is Cu. The present alloy suitable for making inert anode used in a molten electrolytic bath to obtain metals can be used in a low-temperature (750-850ºC) electrolyte system. During the electrolysis, the alloy anode has good oxidation resistance at high temperature and resistant to electrolyte corrosion, and the quality of the aluminum products obtained by electrolysis is not less than 99.7%.
