The invention relates to a solution for mounting a metal casing (57) inside a metal tank (10) of electrical equipment (A, B, C). The casing is attached, at one point (12), to an insulating part (11) and houses, within said casing, at least one movable contact (51, 55) of a switch, the rotation shaft of which is segmented into two portions that are arranged laterally on both sides of the movable contact and directly or indirectly held by the tank. A connection means is provided for connecting the casing (57) to the tank, said connection means including a rod and being arranged so as to longitudinally provide an axial play along the rod between at least a portion of the rod and the casing, and/or a means is provided for rotatably connecting the shaft portions therebetween and with the contact or with at least one element for intermediately driving the contact. One and/or the other of the axial plays make it possible to compensate heat expansion that can be produced between the tank and the insulating part and moreover make it possible to reduce the rotation of the casing around the point of attachment onto the insulating part.
