The present invention relates to a technique for suppressing the estivation of sea cucumbers and cage-culturing the estivation-suppressed sea cucumbers using the clarity and low temperature characteristics of deep sea water. Sea cucumbers enter an estivation during summer times of high water temperature so as to avoid the heat, and therefore, capturing of sea cucumbers is not possible during those times. It is expected that the duration of the estivation of sea cucumbers will be further elongated due to environmental factors such as global warming, rise of sea water temperature, etc., and thus, the production of sea cucumbers will be further decreased. According to the present invention, deep sea water and surface sea water are taken, and the temperatures of the deep sea water are adjusted to 10.5-25.5°C through heat exchange or mixture of the seat water, and the deep sea water and surface sea water, the temperatures of which are thus-adjusted, are used in the suppression of estivation and cage-culturing of sea cucumbers. The technique for suppressing the estivation of sea cucumbers and for cage-culturing sea cucumbers using deep sea water will increase the production of sea cucumbers and enable a constant supply of sea cucumbers.
