A bat for table tennis or tennis or badminton or squash with a vibration damping handle comprises a hitting bat (1) and a handle piece (2). An elastic device (3) in a state of stress is provided between the hitting bat (1) and the handle piece (2). The elastic device (3) is a collection of strip protruding pieces (5) or an elastic piece (9) or a spring-like device with a direction of deformation perpendicular to the four walls of the handle.
