A method and an apparatus for protecting cell-phone information content are provided. The method includes: inputting the designated telephone number related to the information needed to be encrypted to an encrypted number list (102); scanning the encrypted number list and traversing the encrypted number list to obtain the information related to the designated telephone number (106); encrypting the information obtained by traversing followed by storing the encrypted information in a storage, and then hiding the encrypted information (107). In the light of this scheme, it can protect the personal information in a cell-phone to the most extent.
