WATER-COOLING AND WATER-SEALING TRANSMISSION CASE FOR BELL-LESS BLAST FURNACE TOP

A water-cooling and water-sealing transmission case for bell-less blast furnace top comprises an upper water tank(10) and a lower water tank(5). Separating rings (16, 26) are set in the upper and lower water tanks (10, 5). Breather holes (17, 20) on the separating rings (16, 26) are equipped with sprinkling device. Both of the traveling shell and the static shell of the transmission case are deployed with heat insulating layers (9) on their sides facing the furnace interior. From top to bottom, cooling water passes through an annular cavity (14), the upper and lower water tanks (10, 5), and an interlayer having sprinkling-water-screen. Thus, blast furnace gas can freely pass into and out of the transmission case through annular gaps (23, 24) and breather holes (17, 20), which forms a cool and clean gaseous environment in the transmission case, and automatically maintains a dynamic equilibrium between the pressure in the transmission case and the pressure in the furnace throat.
