A mechanism for switching discharge by plugging in or unplugging, includes a first shower head (100) and a second shower head (200). The first shower head (100) includes a fixing unit（110）、a first switch mechanism，a discharge assembly(120) and a socket. The fixing unit（110）comprises an inlet path and two main flow paths of water. One of the two main flow paths of water communicates withthe discharge assembly (120). A switch is arranged at the socket, which is connected to the first switch mechanism in a driven way to actuate the switch to make the inlet path switch over to one of the two main flow paths of water. The second shower head (200) communicates with the other main flow path of water. When the second shower head (200) is plugged in or unplugged, the switch is actuated.
