A method for preparing a positive electrode material LiFePO4/C of a lithium ion battery, which includes the following steps: measuring a lithium source compound, an iron source compound and a phosphoric acid with a 1: 0.8~1.2: 0.8~1.2 molar ratio of Li: Fe: P, while the addition of carbon source compound is 4~40% of the prepared positive electrode material; mixing them and deriving a paste precursor, which is put into a nonmetallic vessel and heated with a microwave device, and then preparing the LiFePO4/C. The present invention relates to a method of solid-liquid combination. The raw materials are mixed more uniformly in prophase, the metal cations are doped more easily, a sintering stage need not the protection of inert gases, and the process is simplified. It shortens the synthesis time and saves energy that heating with microwave. The electrical conductivity, the charge-discharge capacity and the numbers of cycling may be improved by means of coating of carbon and doping of metal cations.
