AGENT FOR ELIMINATING HEAVY METAL IONS AND PHOSPHATE IONS IN WASTEWATER, AND METHOD FOR ELIMINATING HEAVY METAL IONS AND PHOSPHATE IONS USING SAME

Disclosed are: an agent for eliminating heavy metal ions that can eliminate heavy metal ions in wastewater to meet a reference value; and an effective method for processing wastewater using same. Further disclosed are: an agent for eliminating phosphate ions in wastewater; and an effective method for processing wastewater using same. The agent for eliminating heavy metal ions and phosphate ions has as the active ingredient a half-baked dolomite obtained from baking dolomite and of which amount of contained free calcium oxide is no greater than 1.2 wt%, the amount of free magnesium oxide is at least 8 wt%, preferably being at least 19 wt%. Adsorption elimination is performed by powdering this elimination agent, and either introducing the powder into the wastewater containing heavy metal ions and (or) phosphate ions and then stirring, or filling a tube with the powder, forming a flow column, and passing the wastewater through this column.
