The method for consolidating terrain at risk of landslide comprises predisposing a plurality of holes (2) having a sufficient length to anchor to an underlying layer of stable rock, destined to house respective anchorings (4), each hole (2) affording in an upper part thereof a modelling recess (5) obtained by excavation. Then a plurality of shaped reliefs (6) is fashioned on the surface of the slope, surrounded by recesses, which facilitate realisation of a novel three-dimensional brake against land sliding. A threaded bar (7) is introduced into each hole (2) and cement is injected to block each bar (7) in position. Then a steel-wire net (8) is laid on the terrain surface and a respective shaped plate (10) is installed in each recess (5) and hooked to the threaded bar (7). A plurality of cables (9) is located superposed on the net (8) in a predetermined plan, which cables connect up the profiled plates (10) to one another, with the cables (9) winding about a sleeve of the plate (10). A take-down operation, of novel type, is then performed. Using a nut, the plate (10) is forced to penetrate to the bottom of the modelling recesses (5), placing the net (8) and cables (9) in a relationship of very high tension against the terrain surface and generating a novel consolidation "skin" against the effects of atmospheric agents. With high layers of unstable terrain, in order to guarantee rigidity against phenomena tending to disaggregate the terrain, a series of micro-poles, or a strap, is located above the plant (or the first line of anchoring can be reinforced instead) having the function of top anchors (15) to which all the profiled plates (10) of the first row are connected by cables. On irregular slopes (slopes which are already partially devoid of debris), the line of separation of the zone which has not yet suffered sliding from the already- slipped zone (borderline A) is armed specially with a double-laying of cables having different functions, and closer holes.
