CONTINUOUS FIBER LAYER COMPRISING AN ACTIVE SUBSTANCE ON THE BASIS OF BIO-POLYMERS, THE USE THEREOF, AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF

Fibrous sheet-like active substance comprises a fibrous, polymer soluble and/or degradable active agent carrier, and at least one fibrous sheet-like releasable active agent associated with the carrier, where the carrier comprises at least a biopolymer, as the polymer component, which is additionally optionally chemically and/or enzymatically modified. Independent claims are included for: (1) an active agent containing formulation comprising the fibrous sheet-like active substance in processed optionally in combination with at least a further formulation auxiliary agent; and (2) a process for the preparation of the fibrous sheet-like active substance comprising mixing at least an active agent together with at least a biopolymer component in a liquid phase, and subsequently embedding the active agent into the biopolymer fiber by spinning process.
