The cable (8) has two ends provided with coupling elements for connection to terminal elements of two system devices (1, 4), respectively. The coupling elements have antenna arrangements (6, 7) for radio frequency identification (RFID) coupling with an RFID reading unit (2) and/or an RFID transponder (3) in the system devices, respectively. The antenna arrangements are electrically connected with each other by a line connection (5). The RFID reading unit is formed as a transmission-/receiving unit.
