The forklift truck (F) has a load retaining device (8) i.e. load fork, arranged in a lifting frame (5) in a raisable and/or lowerable manner, and a camera device (20) for recording a position of the retaining device with respect to a transporting unit. The camera device is connected with a monitoring device (21) that is arranged in an area of a driver working place. The camera device has a camera (22) i.e. fork camera, arranged in an area of the retaining device and another camera (23) arranged in the truck, where the latter camera is directed to the retaining device.
