The temperature and/or amount of the water flowing through the cartridge (3) is controlled by moving the location of the openings of the ceramic adjustment plates (15a, 15b, 17) in relation to each other. According to the invention water is led from the second water flow opening (17) directly into the mixing space (19) and therefrom directly out from the cartridge (3).
