PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device having the same are provided to integrate a separation prevention protrusion with a support side to prevent the assembly failure of the backlight unit.;CONSTITUTION: First and second light source PCB(Printed Circuit Board) receive a driving signal for driving light sources, and plural grips are mounted in the PCB. The plural grips are coupled with the both ends of the plural light sources, and plural support sides(140) are installed at the both ends of the plural light sources.
