PURPOSE: A CG algorithm application method for forming an antenna beam on a plane smart antenna is provided to obtain high performance communication quality by applying the CG algorithm to a plane array. CONSTITUTION: An antenna comprises a plane array comprising M rows and N columns. The plane array of M rows and N columns is replaced by a linear array comprising one row and MXN columns. A weight vector is obtained by applying the replaced linear array to the CG algorithm. The performance of the plane array is obtained by applying the CG algorithm.
