METHOD FOR INSTALLING A WATERPROOF STEEL PLATE FOR CONNECTING STEEL PIPES IN CONSTRUCTION OF AN UNDERGROUND TUNNEL STRUCTURE WITHOUT A SOIL LOSS

PURPOSE: A method for installing a waterproof steel plate for connecting steel pipes in construction of an underground tunnel structure is provided to reduce construction time and costs by continuously forming cutting grooves and continuously inserting waterproof steel plates.;CONSTITUTION: A method for installing a waterproof steel plate for connecting steel pipes in construction of an underground tunnel structure is as follows. A temporary earth pressure support for reinforcing steel pipes(1,1') is installed in order to excavate inner soil of the steel pipes. Cutting grooves for inserting upper waterproof steel plates(4,4') are formed by cutting the top of the steel pipes. The upper waterproof steel plates are continuously inserted into the cutting grooves and are welded in the steel pipes.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
