PURPOSE: A method for preparing hollow titania nanoparticles is provided to improve uniformity and density of a wall made of hollow titania nanoparticles by preparing magnetite nanoparticles with shell nanoparticles using a layer-by-layer self-assembly method. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing hollow titania nanoparticles comprises the steps of: periodically adsorbing poly(ethyleneimine)(PEI) and titanium(IV) bis(ammonium lactato) dihydrixide(TALH) to a magnetite core; treating magnetite adsorbed with PEI and TALH at 90-120C for 24-48 hours to prepare crystallized titanium dioxide nanoparticles; and etching the magnetite core.
