PURPOSE: A method for interpolating adaptive image using a local part relax constraint condition is provided to interpolate an original image of low resolution to original size of high level function, thereby minimizing the degradation of picture and improving the picture with an image of high resolution.;CONSTITUTION: The low resolution image is inputted to function detection(S10). The function detection calculates local high definition function to be used in image interpolation by using an inputted image information(S20). An up-sampling unit interpolates a sub-sampled image into an original size by using the high level function(S30). The interpolated high definition picture is outputted(S40).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
