PURPOSE: A system and a method for generating an electronic catalog are provided to easily manufacture the electronic catalog without spending separate cost and to exactly grasp the characteristic of relevant product, thereby reducing the catalog manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: A catalog DB(123) stores the common catalog information and electronic catalog information. By referring a buyer DB(121) and a shipper DB(122), a server performs member authentication. The server provided common catalog or previously-registered electronic catalog information. The common catalog or the previously-registered electronic catalog information includes a product classification code corresponding to the relevant product. The server generates the electronic catalog by inputting the information necessary for catalog registration.
