PURPOSE: A solvent reduction method at the crystallization of an intermediate for a non-ionic X-ray contrast agent is provided to offer the desired purity by reducing the amount of methanol after crystallizing, and by increasing the moisture content.;CONSTITUTION: A solvent reduction method at the crystallization of an intermediate for a non-ionic X-ray contrast agent comprises the following steps: supplying crystalline 5-acetamido-N,N`-bis(2,3-dihydroxypropyl)-2,4,6-triiodoisophthalamide to water or methanol; and reducing the volume percentage of the methanol by evaporating the methanol or the water until the mixture contains over 75%(v/v) of water and less than 25%(v/v) of methanol.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
