Apparatus and method for downloading content using the content download server and the P2P control server

PURPOSE: A peer apparatus of downloading contents through a P2P control server and contents download server are provided to maintain transmission quality based on a contents download server by downloading the contents from peers connected to the control server. CONSTITUTION: A peer device of a P2P(Peer To Peer) includes a contents download unit(210) and a download control unit(200). The contents download unit receives a block of the contents from a contents download server. The contents download unit collects the contents. If download is started, the download control unit receives the initial block from the contents download server. The download control unit assigns the rest block of the peers saved in the information DB of the list.
