PURPOSE: A disc compression type butterfly valve is provided to secure the airtight seal and prevent the deformation of a seat caused by the compressive force of a disc.;CONSTITUTION: A disc compression type butterfly valve comprises a seat fixing plate(3) which is formed in the part of a valve body(10) in contact with a disc(4) and coupled to a ring-shaped seat and an end of the valve body in order to fix the seat to the valve body. A groove is formed on the outer circumference of the seat in order to induce an elastic force against the sealing compression force of the disc. A groove is formed also on the inner circumference of the seat fixing plate in order to induce a supporting elastic force against the elastic force of the seat.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
