PREPARATION OF PET NANOCOMPOSITES WITH ENHANCED THERMAL STABILITY AND MODULUS

PURPOSE: A method for preparing a PET(polyethylene terephthalate) nanocomposite is provided to improve thermal resistance of a polymer and modulus. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing polyethylene terephthalate nanocomposite fiber comprises: a step of performing esterification of ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid; a step of adding POSS and polymerizing to obtain polyethylene terephthalate nanocomposite polymer; and a step of melt-spinning. The content of POSS is 0.5-5.0 weight%. The POSS is C_37H_75NO_12Si_8(N-Phenylaminopropylisobutyl) of powdery type and C_65H_132NO_12Si8(N-Phenylaminopropylisooctyl).
