NOVEL PAENIBACILLUS SP. STRAIN WHICH PRODUCES ALKALINE XYLANASE AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING NOVEL XYLANASE

PURPOSE: A novel Paenibacillus sp. strain which produces alkaline xylanase is provided to decompose xylan and to develop alternative ingredients, biopolymers, food, and feed.;CONSTITUTION: A Paenibacillus sp. HPL-002 strain(KCTC 11410BP) with xylanase activity is isolated from a soil sample containing waste wood residue. The alkaline xylanase produced from the strain comprises: an amino acid sequence of sequence number 4; an amino acid sequence which has 95% or more homology with the amino acid of sequence 4; an amino acid sequence encoded by a base sequence of sequence number 4; or an amino acid sequence having an amino acid sequence in which one or more amino acids are substituted, deleted, inserted and/or added in the amino acid of sequence number 4. Xylanase is produced by culturing Paenibacillus sp. HPL-002 strain(KCTC 11410BP) in a medium and centrifuging.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
