PURPOSE: A horizontal transfer device for loading/unloading a container is provided so that the lower part of a container on a trailer or a freight car is loaded between the trailer and the freight car and moves horizontally so that the loaded container can be unloaded on the trailer or the freight car.;CONSTITUTION: A horizontal transfer device(100) for loading/unloading a container comprises a horizontal running part(110), a vertical driving part(120), a support(130), and a controller(150). The horizontal running part reciprocates between a trailer and a freight car. The vertical driving part is installed on one side of the horizontal running part and moves up and down. The support is installed on the vertical driving part, moves up and down, and supports the lower part of a container. The controller controls the operations of the vertical driving part and the horizontal running part. The horizontal running part comprises a body, a hydraulic motor, a driving wheel, and a chain.
