PURPOSE: A flow sensing device and a flow sensing method using the same are provided to reduce power consumption by supplying normal power only when the flow of water is sensed.;CONSTITUTION: A flow sensing device comprises an impeller(110), a magnetic member(120), a detecting sensor(130), and a controller(150). The impeller is arranged on a flow path and is rotated by supplied water. The magnetic member is coupled to the impeller. The detecting sensor is separated from the magnetic member and senses the polarity of the magnetic member. The controller is electrically connected to the detecting sensor and confirms whether water flows in the flow path or not by receiving information about the polarity of the magnetic member.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
