PURPOSE: A cooling apparatus for hot rolling and method of cooling a hot-rolled product are provided to accurately cool only a part of the hot-rolled product with a relatively high temperature on the surface of the hot-rolled product.;CONSTITUTION: A cooling apparatus for hot rolling comprises a plurality of cooling pads(11) and a pad moving unit(20). The cooling pads make contact with the surface of a hot-rolled product. The cooling pads are connected to each other to form a cooling belt(10). The pad moving unit moves each pad to make contact with the surface of the hot-rolled product. The pad moving unit comprises a driving pulley member, a driven pulley member(22), and a base frame(23). One end of the cooling belt is wound on the driving pulley member. The driving pulley member is connected to a motor and is rotated. The driven pulley member is arranged to be separated from the driving pulley member. The other end of the cooling belt is wound on the driven pulley member.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
