PURPOSE: A liner light source having a light guide with tapered saw tooth structure is provided to achieve the concise efficiency by identifying the used amount of a light emitting diode.;CONSTITUTION: A linear light source(1) comprises a light guide(10), a reflection cartridge(18), and a light emitting diode(11b). The light guide comprises an entrance surface(15), a reflecting surface(13), a refraction surface(17), and an exit surface(12).
