PURPOSE: A system and a method for recording the multimedia data of a black box for a vehicle are provided to overcome the storage space limit of the black box for the vehicle on image and voice data by the establishing of the recording technique of image and voice data related to the driving information of the vehicle.;CONSTITUTION: A system for recording the multimedia data of a black box for a vehicle comprises a storage unit and a control unit. The storage unit stores multimedia data, which is collected when the vehicle is driven. The control unit stores the multimedia data depending on whether an event occurs. The control unit does not store the multimedia data or stores some of multimedia data every a first unit period of time, when the event does not occur.
