PURPOSE: A method for testing the characteristics of an air actuated valve and a method for setting air pressure and spring preload using the same are provided to improve the operability of a valve by applying an optimum spring load value to a driver. CONSTITUTION: A method for testing the characteristics of an air actuated valve is as follows. A driver body(11) of an air actuated valve flows compressed air into the air actuated valve. When the pressure of the compressed air is increased, a valve stem(12), connected to a diaphragm(14), measures the air pressure of a point where a spring(15) is compressed and descended, and measures the air pressure of a point where the valve stem is placed in a valve seat. The compressed air is discharged from the driver body to the outside. When the pressure of the discharged compressed air is reduced, the air pressure of a point, where the valve stem is ascended, is measured by the restoring force of the spring.
