摘要

PURPOSE: A process for producing lithium-manganese composite oxide for lithium ion batteries is provided to enhance packing density, to facilitate the control of particle size and tab density, and to ensure excellent energy capacity characteristic per unit volume, electrochemical characteristics and crystallinity. CONSTITUTION: A process for producing lithium-manganese composite oxide represented by Li_(1+a)Mn_(2-b)M_bO_(4-c)A_c of a spinel structure comprises the steps of: (i) mixing a lithium compound, manganese compound, M-containing compound and A-containing compound; (ii) dispersing the compound of step (i) in a solvent, and wet-pulverizing the compound in order to contain particles having an average particle diameter less than about 0.3 micron to prepare slurry; (iii) spray drying the slurry of step (ii); and (iv) plasticizing the spray-dried slurry.
