PURPOSE: A method for displaying a menu in a mobile terminal and the mobile terminal thereof are provided to change a display plane of a stereoscopic icon displayed on a display unit according to a user operation signal sensed from the sensing unit in order to conveniently select and implement a user desirable menu.;CONSTITUTION: A display unit(151) displays a stereoscopic icon having an upper plane and a lower plane. A first menu is displayed on one plane of the stereoscopic icon, and a sensing unit(140) senses the user operation for the mobile communication terminal to generate an operation sensing signal.
