PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for plating a carbon fiber are provided to improve the strength and conductivity of a carbon fiber since the carbon fiber is electroplated.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for plating a carbon fiber comprises a first cathode, a second cathode, a first anode, a second anode, a first tub, and a second tub. The first cathode and the first anode connect to a first power source. The second cathode and the second anode are connected to the second power source. The first tub stores electrolyte liquid dissolved with metal and is installed with cathode connected to a power source. The second tub stores electrolyte dissolved with the metal and is installed with the anode connected to the power source.
