HIGHLY FLAME-RETARDANT, HALOGEN-FREE COLORED HEAT-SHRINK TUBE COMPOSITION AND A TUBE PREPARED USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A heat-shrink tube composition is provided to avoid halogen, to ensure excellent mechanical properties and high fire retardant characteristic while improving colorability.;CONSTITUTION: A heat-shrink tube composition includes, 100 parts by weight of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer base resin; 30-100 parts by weight of a phosphorous-based flame retardant except for red phosphors; and 5-15 parts by weight of silicon-based flame retardant aid. The base resin includes the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with a melting index of 2-15 g/10 minute, polymerized with 15-33% of vinyl acetate monomer. The phosphorous-based flame retardant is ammonium polyphosphate represented by chemical formula 1.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
