MULTIMODE TERMINAL AUTHENTICATION METHOD IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK FOR PREVENTING THE WASTE OF RESOURCES

PURPOSE: A multimode terminal authentication method in a mobile communication network is provided to integrate duplicated authentication process of a multiband multimode terminal.;CONSTITUTION: An AAA(Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) performs network authentication for a UMTS(Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) network certification of a multiband multimode terminal(S205). The AAA performs a Wibro network certification of the multiband multimode terminal(S207). An SGSN(Serving GPRS Support Node) requests the location registration of the multiband multimode terminal to an HLR(Home Location Register)(S213). An ACR(Access Control Router) assigns IP address of the multiband multimode terminal(S219). The multiband multimode terminal establishes the received IP address(S225).
