PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for alarming car crash using global positioning system information are provided to prevent an accident due a vehicle approaching from rear by turning on/off an emergency light when the distance from the approaching vehicle from rear is within a certain distance.;CONSTITUTION: In a method and an apparatus for alarming car crash using global positioning system information, a GPS receive module(101) calculates the current position of vehicles. The GPS receive module uses a GPS signal. The GPS signal receives from a plurality of satellites. A sensor module(103) senses reflected wave from an obstacle. The sensor module calculates the distance between cars. An audio head unit(104) analyzes the kind of the road at current position. The audio head unit sets the distance between cars according to the kind of the road. The audio head unit outputs an emergency signal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
