PURPOSE: A method of determining the reference surface of a pressing material for measuring yield strength and a method of determining the pile-up width of pressing materials for measuring yield strength are provided to enable the pile-up width and plasticized area of pressing materials to be accurately determined by analyzing counter line on the pile-up area of materials.;CONSTITUTION: A method of determining the reference surface of a pressing material for measuring yield strength is as follows. In a 3D image on the surface of a pressing-tested material, the size of indentation impression is defined as 2kac. A reference-surface determining image is obtained(S10), which is an image excluding the image of a deformed area corresponding to 2kac from the center of the indentation impression in the 3D image. A virtual reference surface is established on the reference-surface determining image(S20). A peak volume is compared with a valley volume(S30). The peak volume is formed by the space on the virtual reference surface. The valley volume is formed by the space under the virtual reference surface.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
