PURPOSE: A coal feeder for detecting blockage and a method of detecting the blockage of the coal feeder are provided to prevent the blockage of a body unit from becoming blocked since a control unit sounds alarm or stops the operation of the body unit, when the inner pressure of the body unit exceeds predetermined pressure.;CONSTITUTION: A coal feeder(100) for detecting blockage comprises a body unit(101), a pressure measuring unit(102) and a control unit(103). The body unit is connected to a pulverizer(110) through an outlet. The body unit supplies coals to the pulverizer. When the area of the outlet decreases by the attaching of the coals, the pressure measuring unit measures the inner pressure of the body unit, which is raised by the outlet. When the inner pressure reaches a predetermined inner pressure, the control unit sounds alarm or stops the operation of the body unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
