FOLDING KEY DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE, ENABLING AN IGNITION KEY TO BE HIDDEN WHEN NOT IN USE AND BE UNFOLDED AND SHOWED WHEN IN USE

PURPOSE: A folding key device for a vehicle is provided to prevent damage by folding of an ignition key when force over predetermined strength is applied if the ignition key is compulsorily introduced into a case. ;CONSTITUTION: A folding key device for a vehicle comprises an upper case(4'), a push button(8), a holder(6), an elastic member, a cam(10) and a lower case(4"). A button groove(26), into which a push button(8) is inserted, is formed on the upper case. The push button is inserted into the button groove. A protrusion(18) is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the push button. The holder is connected/installed to/on the lower end of the button groove of the upper case. The protrusion of the push button is inserted or separated into/from the holder. The holder controls the rotation of the push button. The elastic member is installed on one side of the push button to supply elastic force to the push button to be restored after the push button is pressed.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
