A PATTERN-BASED AND RULE-BASED DATA ARCHIVE MANAGER

PURPOSE: A pattern-based and rule-based data archive manager is provided to perform data archiving according to the input rules of a user in a system. CONSTITUTION: A pattern matcher(308) selects rules. Based on facts of a fact metadata storage(304), a determination scheduler(310) gives the priority to all matching rules. The determination scheduler presents metadata facts to a rule effector(312). A sub meter(324) presents matched rules to the rule effector. The rule effector completes data archive tasks through a data archive engine(314).
