FACILITY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING STEEL STRIP, CAPABLE OF CONTINUOUSLY REMOVING SCALES FROM HOT-ROLLED STEEL STRIP IN A PHYSICAL WAY

PURPOSE: Facility and method of manufacturing steel strip are provided to enable a hot-dipped steel sheet to be manufactured by a short facility in an environment-friendly way since hot-rolled steel strip, from which scales have been removed, is cold-rolled and then hot-dipped. ;CONSTITUTION: A facility for manufacturing steel strip consists of a scale removing facility(110), a cold-rolling unit(120), and a degreasing facility(130). The scale removing facility continuously removes scales from hot-rolled steel strip. The scale removing facility consists of a crack generating device and a short blasting device(112). The crack generating device generates cracks for the scales of the hot-rolled steel strip. The short blasting device short blasts and removes the cracked scales. The cold-rolling unit is installed behind the scale removing facility. The cold-rolling unit cold-rolls scale-removed hot-rolled steel strip. The degreasing facility degreases the cold-rolled steel strip.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
