PURPOSE: A device and method for wirelessly charging a battery of an electric vehicle or hybrid vehicle by an electromagnetic coupled resonance are provided to transmit and receive power without a wired cable by using the electromagnetic coupled resonance. CONSTITUTION: A high frequency generator(22) generates a high frequency. A high frequency power amplifier(24) amplifies the high frequency from the high frequency generator and transmits the high frequency to a transmission loop antenna(21). A transmission loop antenna generates an electromagnetic wave by receiving high frequency amplified by the high frequency power amplifier. A transmission resonator(23) transmits power by generating an evanescent wave. A reception resonator generates the electromagnetic wave by mutually resonating with the transmission resonator.
