PURPOSE: A light emitting diode array drive device, a print head, an image formatting device, and a signal supply method are provided to prevent a light emitting diode from emitting light unexpectedly. ;CONSTITUTION: A light emitting diode array drive device comprises: a switch device connected electrically to each light emitting diode and setting at the easy state for lighting if the light emitting diode is on and at the difficult state for lighting if the light emitting diode is off; a transfer signal supply device controlling the period for the continuously connected two switch devices to be on together, and changing each switch device from the off state to the one state, and then the off state successively, thereby supplying transfer signals to spread the on state on each switch device; and a lighting signal supply device setting the end point of the lighting period of the light emitting diode on the basis of the start point of the period for supplying transfer signals to make the continuously connected two switch devices turn on together, and supplying lighting signals to set the start point of the period for lighting the light emitting diode.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
