PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for transmitting uplink data and control information to reduce the signaling overhead are provided to together multiplex and transmit data with the control information in the uplink MIMO transmission. ;CONSTITUTION: A bit size controller(166) establishes the rank of the uplink control information as the rank of uplink data. A multiplexer(164) multiplexes the first control information among the control information with the data. A channel interleaver(168) processes the channel interleaving both the multiflexed output and the control information except the first control information among the control information. A transmit unit transmits the interleaved signal.
