PURPOSE: A system for optimally arraying a microphone and a method thereof are provided to optimize the arrangement of a microphone by taking a photograph of a source sound with a camera and visualizing and displaying the sound pressure of the source sound. ;CONSTITUTION: A camera is located in the center of a microphone arrangement location. A plurality of microphones is respectively arranged in a linear socket and a nonlinear socket. A camera takes the photograph of a source sound and then the sound pressure of the source sound is visualized. The analysis of arrangement performance is operated through a source sound simulation using a distribution point.
