PURPOSE: A composition containing bee venom for preventing and treating dermatitis is provided to suppress inflammation and to ensure antibacterial activity. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating dermatitis contains bee venom as an active ingredient. A functional food for preventing and treating dermatitis contains bee venom as an active ingredient. A composition for skin whitening contains bee venom as an active ingredient. The content of bee venom is 0.0001-10%(w/v). The composition further contains pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, excipient, or diluent. The composition is manufactured in the form of oral or parenteral formulation. The oral formulation includes tablets, pills, granules, and capsules. The parenteral formulation includes dressing agent, patches, bandage, or ointments.
