PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite structural member high in rigidity even if it is thin, and easily attachable to a fixed object.;SOLUTION: This composite structural member 1A includes a metal substrate 10A, a resin molding 11 and a resin film layer 12 covering one surface of the metal substrate 10A, where the metal substrate 10A is a plastic-worked material obtained by press-forming a flat plate material with its thickness of ≥50 μm. The metal substrate 10A and the resin film layer 12 are joined by the structural resin of the resin molding 11. The composite structural member 1A can have superior strength and rigidity if the thickness is reduced because of having the metal substrate 10A. The composite structural member 1A is superior in installation workability because of having the resin molding 11 as the installation part to the fixed object is easily formed to the resin molding 11.
