PURPOSE: Composite powder of diamond-cemented carbide and a method of manufacturing a diamond tool using the composite powder are intended to provide high hardness of a diamond tool since a coated layer is formed without blowhole. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing a diamond tool using composite powder of diamond-cemented carbide comprises next steps. Powder is obtained by spray drying of slurry containing diamond and cemented carbide. During the spray drying, the powder is thermal-treated to remove organic materials and increase strength of particles. The composite power obtained through post weld heat treatment is coated on the base by supersonic-speed flame spraying.
